Advice for the Workplace
  1. Early Bird. It’s always important to get to work on time every day. Have good night’s sleep and set your alarm to give yourself enough time to get dressed, eat breakfast and get to work! Being at work early will show you are enthusiastic about your job and give you extra time to plan your day.
  2. Give things a go. If you are willing to give things a try and up for a challenge, your Employer is more likely to give you more responsibility. It is better to try and fail than not try at all!
  3. Be positive. Keeping positive and feeling confident in your abilities will always help you at work. Having a positive attitude towards tasks given to you will show your boss you are able and willing.
  4. Don’t be afraid to ask! If you have a problem, your Employer will always prefer you to ask for help! Talking things through and clearing issues up will help you understand, and show you are confident to voice your thoughts.
  5. Looking Good! Richard Denny states, ‘Dress for the job you want, not the job you have got’ so looking smart will get you noticed. Dressing smart will also make you feel ready for the work day ahead of you.
  6. Talk the Talk. Whether you are speaking to customers or colleagues it is important to speak clearly to get your point across. Stay professional and steer clear from bad language and slang.
