Interview Tips for the Individual
  1. Prep yourself. Check out the Company’s Website or Facebook page before your interview, to get an idea about your possible new employer. You will look prepared and enthusiastic, and it’s a great way to earn extra brownie points!
  2. Turn the tables. In case you are asked if you have any questions, prepare some before the interview. Ask about the company and the people; but steer clear from any questions about pay! This will be decided when you have been offered the job.
  3. PUNCTUALITY! PUNCUTALITY! PUNCTUALITY! Being 10 minutes early to your interview shows the company you are eager and organised.
  4. Know your journey. Make sure you know the way to the interview; as getting lost or being late doesn’t look too good. Try making a trial run the day before the interview so you know the way and how long it will take.
  5. Dress the Part. Looking smart, ironed and smelling clean will work wonders for that first impression!
  6. Confidence is Key. Eye contact and lots of smiles will show the Interviewer you are comfortable in this situation.
  7. Sell Yourself! Speak clearly and use positive words to describe yourself. Use the questions to talk about your strengths and achievements!
