Offering a one-stop-shop of hardware, operating system and application software support, they also specialise in Cloud IT solutions. They are now looking for an IT Support Apprentice to go on a 15 month apprenticeship (Level 3 Infrastructure Technician). Following on the completion of the L3 Apprenticeship there is a possibility to go onto a L4 Dependent on KPI's and workload being acceptable.

The Role


As an IT Support Apprentice, you will take on an apprenticeship scheme that will enable you to become a highly trained and qualified technical support professional within the IT sector.


Specifically, you will learn to:


- Provide technical support, answering support queries received via email, phone or web portal

- Resolve users’ IT problems and issues

- Log calls and actions and record the actions taken to resolve an issue

- Complete weekly IT health checks and backup management activities

- Support on-site IT problems

- Follow service desk processes, policies and procedures

- PC hardware set up and configuration skills

- Customer service skills

- GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above, which must include Mathematics, English Language and Literature and Science at Grade C (or equivalent) or higher

- A BTEC Level 3 in Computing or a relevant subject

L3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship
- To be a methodical and strategic thinker

- Good communication skills both verbal and written

There will be the opportunity to go onto a L4 Network engineer or to stay on as 1st line support member of staff. This is dependent on work history, passing the apprenticeship and hitting KPI's with in the job.
