he Cobham brand is one of the oldest and most respected in the defence and aerospace market, with an unbroken pedigree reaching back to the 1930s. The spirit and passion of founder Sir Alan Cobham thrive today in the pride and ingenuity with which our people develop advanced technologies for the real world. Cobham products have earned an enviable reputation for protecting lives and livelihoods, often in extreme environments, from deep space to the ocean deep, from the mountains of Afghanistan to the streets of New York. Cobham’s values of Trust, Talent and Technology define the elements that sustained the business from its launch in 1934 and are still evident after more than 75 years. We have always been recognised for our innovative technologies, products and services, but today Cobham has so much more to offer. A range of distinctive subsystem capabilities have been developed through a combination of strategic acquisitions and Company funded R&D. Investments that have seen us develop world leading positions in areas such as air-to-air refuelling, crew oxygen supply and vehicle intercom systems. Investments that have transformed Cobham from being predominantly a tier three supplier selling great products and components, to a global tier two subsystem partner for prime contractors, OEMs and governments. Cobham has four divisions employing more than 12,000 people on five continents.
