If so, we have a unique and exciting opportunity for several apprentices to join the Department for Transport (DfT) and undertake a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, and we’d love to hear from you! If successful you will be part of an apprentice community which will provide you with the opportunity to support, network and share knowledge and experiences as a cohort, as you embark on your apprenticeship journey together.

  • Earn a competitive salary: Alongside gaining a nationally recognised qualification and expanding your knowledge in a permanent job role, you will also be earning a salary (National - starting at £20,900, London – starting at £23,972. You will also receive a 20% salary uplift following satisfactory completion of 12-months service).
  • No tuition / student fees: An apprenticeship at DfT will allow you to secure a qualification with no tuition / student fees, as the programme is fully funded by the department.
  • Learn ‘on-the-job’: You will be supported in spending 20% of your contracted hours dedicated to your apprenticeship. This will allow you to put your knowledge into practice ‘on-the-job’ and to gain new skills, experience and confidence in your daily job role. 
  • Career Progression: DfT are committed to suppprting you to successfully complete your apprenticeship by working with you, your line manager and Talent Coach to ensure you get the best possible experience and gain substantial new skills in your area of work; allowing you to be the best that you possibly can be.
