Padstow Townhouse Assistant This role is to support our Townhouse manager in the day to day running of our six beautiful suites and kitchen pantry as well as providing a very high level of service for our guests. Attention to detail is key for this role and requires a candidate with a passion for customer service and a chance to shine their individual personality.

Description

The Padstow Townhouse assistant will work along side
our Townhouse manager in the day to day running of the townhouse, setting up
our breakfast hampers, daily ordering servicing the rooms and welcoming new
guests for check in. They will be involved with a lot of the behind the scenes
details to give guests a seamless, wonderful experience. Strong communication
between the Padstow Townhouse and all the restaurant teams is key as well as
face to face contact. It’s important for the candidate to understand we work
together as one big family across all the sites.


  • Breakfast set up each morning including warming pastries,
    boiling eggs etc. and delivering the hampers to the rooms
  • Servicing the rooms whilst guests are out for the day
    or have checked out, turning the rooms around for the next guests
    arriving
  • Cleaning the pantry, making sure it is set and ready for
    guests
  • Greeting guests from the car park, bringing them into the
    townhouse and giving them a tour of the pantry and their room explaining
    all little details along the way including their welcome treat in the
    room which is made by the pastry chef from no.6
  • Ensuring thorough communication with the restaurant teams to
    let them know which guests are dining with them that evening
  • Building the hampers ready for the next morning, with the
    clean crockery, fresh breakfast menu etc.
  • Setting up hot chocolate bags to hang on the guest doors and making the hot chocolate for the flasks

    • Cocktails / Mixology: Know the main categories of cocktails, including common base ingredients, methods
      of preparing and serving them, how ingredients and equipment should be stored and information that will help

    • Carefully handle payments, transactions, stock and packaging to minimise unnecessary financial loss

    • Wine service: Provide accurate information on the wine menu, make basic recommendations to customers
      based on menu, serve and store wine in the correct manner and use specialist equipment for preparing and
      serving wine appropriately
    • Beer / Cask Ale: Provide accurate information on beers, including bottled, keg and cask ales; make
      recommendations to customers based on menu, serve and store beer and cask ales in the correct manner
      and use specialist equipment appropriately. Help ensure that the correct cellar conditions are maintained to
      preserve the quality of the beer / cask ale
    • Cocktails / Mixology: Provide accurate information on the cocktail menus to customers, prepare cocktails
      using a range of ingredients and methods and adjust the cocktail to customers’ taste and preference. Ensure
      ingredients are stored correctly and use specialist equipment appropriately

  • On successful completion of the apprenticeship there is a possibility of a full time position.
    The working times are 8am - 6pm. Must have access to own transport to and from the location. We do sometimes have to give guests lifts in our electric BMW and sometimes have to move guests cars around so driving license would be preferable.
