New Direction are very different to mainstream schools. Teaching is based on personalised learning through which they develop individual education plans which take careful account of the needs of each pupil.

They have a range of expertise in counselling and therapeutic interventions which help them understand the needs and aspirations of their pupils. These, along with the close-knit nature of their community, help to support the pupils back into learning. New Direction strive to do this in a way that makes every young person realise the value of learning.

They specialise in the use of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. This plays a significant role in our support for all members of our community and is also available as a separate service, and so they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Equine Groom to join their them!
