Salary / Grade: Salary per annum is consistent with Warwickshire County Council Rates:

Over 23 - £17,201.71

21-22 - £16,139.88

18-20 - £12,664.78

u18 - £8919.41

Purpose of Job: To undertake a range of duties in IT alongside other members of the IT team. To resolve routine IT issues that emerge within the school as well as contributing to new programmes, planned works and projects.

  • Support our user base of 1500 students, 200 staff and external users via telephone, ticketing system and e-mails
  • Office 365 console administration
  • Problem solve IT tasks and manage workflow in an organised manner within a fast paced environment
  • Work in a flexible and adaptable way to ensure IT requests are undertake in order of priority working with the IT team collaboratively to achieve this
  • Offer a friendly and approachable IT service to staff members and students using effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Work on the cabling, connectivity and physical network
  • Active Directory administration: create new user accounts, amend permissions, and reset network and applications passwords
  • Perform various stock check requests as advised by senior’s requests
  • Meet and greet our user base. Perform scheduled appointments and tasks
  • Contribute to North Leamington School’s IT provision that is constantly striving to evolving its effectiveness services and provisions, to provide better access to information and technology for the school staff and students
  • Take ownership of the tasks and projects set out by the line manager
  • Meet all learning commitments of the apprenticeship qualification as directed by your line manager and the apprenticeship provider. Assigned qualifications, associated study and an end point assessment must be completed. This includes presentations, portfolios, units of assessment and potentially exams
  • Understand the importance of managing both professional and learning responsibilities
  • Carry out duties and any ad hoc requests that are reported by staff and students, with accuracy and professionalism

Maths & English GCSE Grade A*-C alongside A Level or BTEC L3

As an Infrastructure Technician with BPP, you will complete the Infrastructure Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship you will achieve the CompTIA A+ certification.

This programme is delivered through a combination of online teaching, coaching and workplace development, in addition to a range of other sessions to ensure that you progress as a well-rounded Infrastructure Technician.

The ultimate aim of the Academy would be if the job role allowed for a further apprenticeship qualification choice to be an option, whilst not mandatory. Also at the end of the first apprenticeship, the opportunity of being offered a permanent position to the post holder if they were successful in both their L3 and employment on the job.
