Description
Professional livery, training and riding centre approved by the British Horse Society and the Pony Club. They offer a wide variety of equestrian pursuits for all level of riders from the beginner to the advanced including Tuition/Hacking, Show Jumping/Dressage/X-Country Clinics, Activity Days, riding holidays and also run a successful riding and pony club.
We are looking for a Level 2 or 3 apprentices to join our happy team, to assist with all aspects of the yard, riding school and training. Opportunities to ride for the right candidate and training towards BHS exams also available and
Usual yard duties include grooming, tacking up and preparing horses for lessons, mucking out, feeding and watering, turning out and bringing in from the field, paddock maintenance, exercising horses, holding for vet/farrier/dentist.
As a riding school we work with various clients so you should have good communication skills and be able to take instruction from various other members of staff to ensure the yard works efficiently.

All staff will be First aid trained and DBS checked.

Experience with horses is essential for this position.
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.

Full apprenticeship training supported by Haddon Training
Successful candidate will be an experienced rider, hard working and able to use own initiative and common sense when required. You will be friendly, bubbly and enthusiastic with a passion to succeed within the equine industry.
Possibility of Level 3 advanced Apprenticeship (senior equine groom) on completion of Level 2. Support from employer to complete BHS exams.
