The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a brand new kitchen complete with a new Charvet cooking suite. The pub has recently reopened under new management, meaning it is a completely blank slate, so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the sous and head chef to create regularly changing, seasonal menus and dishes. As well as organising and planning seasonal events, supper clubs, parties etc.
Creating menu items, recipes and dishes
Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within a speciality section
preparing meat and fish
assisting with management of health and safety
Managing and training commis chefs
Monitoring portion and waste control
In return, the successful candidate will receive the following

A good basic Knowledge of cooking
Grades c (4) or above in maths and english is an advantage but not essential. This will be assessed at the start of the qualification
NVQ level 2 minimum
Level 3 Chef de partie training
