Description
You will work as a Paralegal Apprentice within one of our contentious or non-contentious teams, helping our Legal Advisors with their clients across a wide range of matters. The role will be based in the Family team.
You will have a full and busy workload, so you will need to be able to meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure, be proactive and take initiative, be adaptable in your approach, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to have a flexible approach and the ability to work within a team environment.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, able to communicate at all levels and have a passion to learn and develop with good personal organisation skills. Adaptability and flexibility are key, as you will be required to have a hands-on, proactive approach to daily administrative tasks within the team.

Good ICT and proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook would be an advantage.
Non-Graduate paralegal: A minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths & English at grade 4 and above (grade A-C previously), and three A Levels at a minimum of BCC.
Graduate paralegal: A minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths & English at grade 4 and above (grade A-C previously), and three A Levels at a minimum of BCC, plus a non-law degree at 2:1 or above.

Salary: The salary range is £13500 to £15000 dependent upon qualifications and experience. We are committed to providing you with the support and training required to achieve your industry recognised Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship. You will have 20% time off the job for study time, which equates to one dedicated study day per week.
The academic part of the apprenticeship is delivered via distance learning by our apprenticeship provider, Damar Training. In addition you will also receive in-house training, practical on the job experience and access to our mentoring scheme.
