Description

Duties include:

  • Prepare financial statements from incomplete accounting records for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Prepare individual, partnership and corporation tax returns and advise the client of tax liabilities
  • Prepare profit forecasts and cash flow projections
  • Carry out day to bookkeeping and payroll using Sage and Xero cloud accounting software
  • Prepare month and quarter end management accounts
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Carry out company secretarial work i.e. Company formations, confirmation statements etc.
  • Any ad hoc projects as required by the client
  • General office duties as and when required

AAT Level 3

You’ll learn complex accounting techniques, and master a number of accounting disciplines including financial processes, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts and ethical practices for accountants. This level will encourage you to master more complex accounting principles in both Bookkeeping and Management Accounting.

The area you will cover include:

  • Advanced Bookkeeping
  • Final Accounts Preparation
  • Management Accounting: Costing
  • Indirect Tax
  • Advanced Synoptic Assessment


Training will be provided either via classroom or remote sessions. An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate 20% of their time towards it.
