We are a small computer, customer-focused IT support company that helps small businesses and end users get the most from their technology. We aim to provide help and support so they can complete the task in front of them painlessly and in the most efficient way possible.



What we are looking for:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 
As an IT Technician Apprentice, you will provide customers with assistance on computer systems. You will also answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them.



The IT Technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to listen effectively to understand the problem and communicate possible solutions. They must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult customers.



The goal is to create value for clients that will help preserve the company’s reputation and business.



Responsibilities:





  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance 


  • Perform troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions 


  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers 


  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process 


  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel 


  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services 


  • Follow company procedures and continue to develop and improve these 


  • Record events and problems and their resolution, follow-up and update customer status and information 


  • Design, build and supply the solution, to fix the problem or overcome the difficulties the customer is experiencing 


  • Produce the invoice and charge the customer for the services and products they have received 




Desired skills and qualities: 





  • Have a good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products 


  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues in a structured manner 


  • Fluent in natural English with good written communication skills 


  • Patient, customer-oriented and cool-tempered 


  • Smart and presentable within a corporate environment 


  • Trustworthy and reliable 




Location:
Due to the location of the client site, it would be highly beneficial to be either a car driver or motorcycle driver (with a full UK driver’s license).



Entry requirements:





  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject


  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)


  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject




You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.



If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
