This is an apprenticeship role, delivered by Robert Bosch Ltd.

Training sessions will take place both at your workplace and at the esteemed Renault Training Centre in Doncaster.

All we require is your commitment to the Apprenticeship Programme and your eagerness to grow into a highly skilled Autocare Technician. For those who excel, there’s the potential to advance to the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship upon completing the Level 2 Autocare Technician standard.

To be eligible, you must have attained a grade 4 or above in maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent.

Your duties will encompass mastering the fundamentals of various vehicle systems, including but not limited to steering & suspension, braking systems, battery & charging systems, exhaust systems, and air-conditioning systems. In addition to these technical aspects, the apprenticeship curriculum includes modules on interpersonal skills, customer service, parts management, and stock levels, as well as ADAS, FGAS, and basic electrical vehicle awareness.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you’ll attain the coveted Autocare Technician Level 2 qualification, setting the stage for a rewarding career in automotive technology.

Exhaust systems
Air-Conditioning systems
To enhance the delivery of the Level 2 Autocare standard, there are additional elements embedded into the qualification.
These include:
Interpersonal skills and customer service
Parts & managing stock Levels
ADAS
FGAS
Basic electrical vehicle awareness


Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve the Autocare Technician Level 2 qualification.

No specific skills are necessary, but a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the automotive industry or working with motor vehicles is essential.

GCSE grades 4-9 (A*-C) or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English are required.

This Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship is delivered by Robert Bosch Ltd.

Training is conducted on a block release basis at the Alliance Training Centre in Doncaster.

This means you will attend college-based training away from home, staying in a hotel for 15 separate weeks (Monday to Friday) over the 24 to 30-month duration of the apprenticeship.

All training-related costs are covered by the employer/program, so there will be no expense to you or your parents/guardians.

Workplace assessments will be conducted by a dedicated training assessor, and you will have a workplace mentor to support you at the dealership.

Upon completion, you will earn the following qualification:

Autocare Technician Level 2

There may also be an opportunity to progress to the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship after successfully completing the Level 2 Autocare Technician standard.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship program, candidates may be offered a permanent position within the company.

The Renault Apprenticeship Programme has been conceived with the aim of developing high calibre Service Technicians and Customer Service Practitioners that are needed to support the future growth of the Renault Dealer Network.
