Coach Core's vision is to drive social mobility through apprenticeships and sport, so that every young person can reach their true potential and inspire those around them. Since our launch in 2012, we have worked with over 150 of the biggest sports providers, youth clubs and charities in the country, supporting over 500 young people.
The Community Activator Coach role is the perfect opportunity to understand the role of sport and physical activity in the Community, and as an apprentice instructor at Volume 1 you will be:
-Providing a variety of creative, engaging and functional warm ups
-Delivering one off sessions and regular weekly clubs to the highest standard
-Kids clubs - being able to successfully incorporate the use of the kids Log Book into the club sessions to monitor progression
-Complete training and follow safeguarding guidelines and protocol
-Assisting with the development of instructed sessions programme where necessary
-Providing high energy, engaging and progressive experiences for kids and adults alike
-Feeding back suggestions and improvements to the instructed session programme
-Maintaining highest safety levels of all customers
-A desire to build and improve upon your existing instructing skillset
-Be keen to develop and improve your own climbing skills and participate regularly in the sport
-Potential for introductory route setting experience if desired
During quiet times, or when there are no instructed sessions running, you may also be required to assist with reception, café and shop.
What your apprenticeship includes:
-A mixture of face to face and online catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress
-A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
-Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer
-The chance to get Functional Skills in English and maths (if you don't already have GCSE)
