What you will be doing:
- Plan, create and implement engaging activities
- Observing, tracking, and reflecting on learning
- Develop and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies
- Working with a small team to create a positive, happy, and safe environment on a day to day basis

- You will need to be dynamic, have the ability to work as part of a team, be able to use your initiative and time manage your day effectively to ensure the smooth running of our nursery
- Previous experience in working with children
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
- GCSE Level 4 or above in Maths and English desirable
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Marlow Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
· Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification
· Functional skills in Maths and English if required
This will be delivered through Marlow Day Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.
Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of techniques to communicate with both children and adults clearly and successfully
- Senior position available in pre-school for the right candidate
