Description

Vacancy description:

Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by handling enquiries and bookings via phone and email. Answer customer queries regarding recycling services, collection schedules, and waste management procedures.

Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve customer complaints or concerns, such as missed collections, billing issues, or service requests.

Ensure resolutions are communicated effectively.

Service Scheduling: Assist customers in scheduling recycling and waste collection services. Ensure timely coordination between customers, our transport and sales teams.

Data Entry & Record Keeping: Accurately input customer information and bookings into our system (Purgo)

Collaboration: Work with other departments, including transport and sales, to ensure smooth service delivery and address customer concerns promptly.



List of duties:

Answering phone calls

Responding to emails

Responding to queries

Booking jobs given by sales managers

Taking payments

Reallocation of jobs

Invoice Queries

Raising PO’s

Applying for road permits

Booking job on the system

Booking with Subcontractors

Liaising with other departments within the company

Reclassified the waste streams when needed

All wasted journey charges when needed

Chase outstanding containers



Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with release day for college attendance.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

Problem-solving: A proactive approach to resolving issues and addressing customer needs.

IT Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn new software.

Interest in Recycling & Sustainability: A passion for environmental sustainability and recycling is desirable.

Education: Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Math.

You will be required to attend Exeter College one day a week (during term time) as part of your apprenticeship, starting from March, working towards your Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship.
