Davies Group are looking for hard working and ambitious individuals that want to join our apprenticeship programme. We’ll place you in our claims team for 13 months where no day is ever the same and you’ll get stuck in from the offset with full training, which will enable you to be a vital member of your team. Your work also will allow you to obtain qualifications, so you earn whilst you learn!

What you will be doing?

Working from the Stoke office you'll be handling customer claims for a variety of insurers. This is a role that will grow as you do and upon completion of your apprenticeship a progression path all the way to management is possible.

What skills will you develop?

•Communication: Correspond with Policy Holders, Clients & Brokers via telephone, email and post in an efficient and professional manner

•Organisation: To support and complete various administrative duties within designated claims team

•Customer service: Advise customers on claims procedures.

•Time management: Manage personal allocation of claims, post and diary work in a timely and efficient manner

•Compliance: Handle claims in line with client specifications

•Excellent telephone manner

•IT literate including a basic proficiency of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Excel and Word

•Excellent written and verbal communication

•Customer service experience

•Ability to work to deadlines whilst prioritising workload

•Must be able to multi-task

• GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including maths and English

• Willingness to work toward CILA Qualification


As well as on the job training you will complete a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard. This may also include functional skills in English and maths at level 1 or 2 depending on prior qualifications.

You will work towards:

•Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard

Functional Skills in English and maths:

•No functional skills to be completed if you have obtained a GCSE C/4 and above or equivalent

•Functional skills level 2 will be completed, if you have obtained a GCSEs D or E/3 grade, functional skills level 1 or equivalent

•Functional skills level 1 will be completed, if you have not obtained any equivalent qualifications. Upon completing level 1 functional skills you will progress onto level 2
