Welcome to North Lancs Training Group (NLTG). We are one of the largest training providers in the country and we pride ourselves on the quality of our services to our learners. We deliver Apprenticeships and Traineeships throughout the North West of England and Yorkshire. We also offer the Study Programme courses to young people in Accrington and Fleetwood.
NLTG was established in 1969 and has been training young people for over 45 years. We have a wealth of experience when supporting youth, in fact, over 60 of the Group’s professional staff are ex NLTG apprentices.
NLTG offer Apprenticeships and Traineeships to young people all over the North West of England and Yorkshire. Our Study Programme course in Accrington and Fleetwood.
NLTG offer a wide range of Intermediate, advanced and higher level Apprenticeships in a wide variety of occupations. All of our Apprenticeships are nationally recognised qualifications. They are all full time, permanent jobs from day one with over 99% of apprentices staying in employment after completion of their Apprenticeship. After you have applied to NLTG, chosen the vacancies you are interested in, been out for interviews and successfully been offered a job, one of our training officers will come out to visit you in your job and sign you on to your Apprenticeship. With NLTG Apprenticeships there is no day release to college (with the exception of Joinery) so your personal training officer will come out to visit you every 4 to 6 weeks to assess you in your job role and guide you through your qualification. Assessment can be via observations, voice recordings, coursework, online sessions etc.

We offer Traineeships in all of the above occupations giving a taster to each industry before starting on a full time Apprenticeship.
The Study Programme is an exciting learning programme consisting of two routes - Employability Skills and Traineeships - delivered from our state of the art Vocational Centres of Excellence in Accrington and Fleetwood. We provide learning programmes tailored to suit the needs of students aged 16-18 that are designed to help you if you are not ready, or able, to directly enter an Apprenticeship, employment or other post 16 alternatives.
