“The idea of helping the NHS to function whilst working with computers was appealing.” - Harry Brown, Apprenticeship Graduate

North West Skills Development Network (NHS)

This opportunity is advertised on a 18 month fixed term contract basis due to this being an apprenticeship, the objective of which is to gain a recognised qualification and experience in the workplace. This does not include a guaranteed permanent post with an NHS organisation, however throughout the apprenticeship individuals will be eligible to apply for vacancies within their workplace organisation, subject to the usual recruitment processes, with support being provided to ideally secure a position by completion. The apprenticeship will provide valuable work experience and a qualification that is recognised by employers.

Starting your career with an apprenticeship in the NHS and being part of the UK's biggest employer, you will have an excellent package including:

• Competitive Apprentice Salary

• Generous Annual Leave

• Flexible Working Hours

• Fully Guaranteed Pension

• Professional Development

• Opportunity to Progress

• High Street Discounts

These NHS apprenticeships are run by the Skills Development Network, an NHS team dedicated to your career progression.

"I wanted to make a difference, and now I actually feel like I make a difference; that’s the best part for me. While doing an apprenticeship, you learn the fundamentals and how things are meant to be, and then you work in the NHS and can see how things are and put them together." - Aaron Key, Apprenticeship Graduate
The NHS has a multi-billion pound budget to deliver an efficient, modern, safe, and effective healthcare service to patients. 1.2 million people make up the NHS workforce with over 350 different careers and you don’t have to work in a clinical job to save lives.
