St Michaels Nursery - Employer

Here at St Michael’s Day Nursery we provide affordable, high quality childcare in a warm and friendly environment to the people of our community. We pride ourselves on creating a happy atmosphere that makes children, parents and staff feel comfortable within the nursery.

We offer places to cater for everyone, whether it is full time, part time, school pick up/drop off, ELT, NEF or 30 funded hours. We also offer a holiday club during school holidays which is flexible to suit you. We are registered with OFSTED who rated us a 'GOOD' setting and we are able to care for children from 6 weeks to 11 years old. All of our staff are DBS checked and have relevant childcare qualifications as well as food hygiene and paediatric first aid.

Our open plan Nursery is approved by OFSTED and allows for dedicated zones for the seven areas of learning and development. The seven areas are;

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Physical Development
  • Communication & Language
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

We plan and provide a wide range of play activities to help progress the children’s learning and development. These include baking, painting, construction, role play, sensory play, sand play and many more.

We regularly assess how each child is learning and developing by observing their key attributes. We take regular observations to complete each child’s individual learning journey. This learning journey goes with the children as they move up through the nursery and then on to school.

We are a multi-cultural nursery and we offer a wide range of foods to cater for specific dietary requirements.

For more information, please give us a call on the number provided or drop in for a show around.
