We are expanding our team! We are looking to welcome an apprentice to join our busy team. If you are keen to work within an ever expanding company in Administration this could be the opportunity for you.

Social Circle - Employer

Social Circle is a members-only friendship group based in Manchester. We host over 100 events per month, most of them completely free to our members.

Our membership has grown steadily over the last 10 years - a growing group of friendly and supportive people from all backgrounds. We provide a safe, fun environment for you to meet other people and expand your social circle.

All of our events are run by professional Social Circle hosts, who will make every effort to make you feel at home and welcome.

Many of our members are now lifelong friends (we have even had a few weddings between members!) and we welcome new members every week.

Detailed Job Description

  • Organise calendar events and keep the social calendar up-to-date
  • Maintain all social media platforms up-to-date so as to ensure Social Circle has a good on-line presence to maximise interest.
  • Assist with on-site management of events including on-site organisation and client liaison
  • Keep the customer database up to date at all times with new/changed details and bookings.
  • Process booking forms and invoice members for membership renewal reminders as and when appropriate.
  • Office administration duties such as typing, filing, data entry.
  • Promote the business on and offline always maintaining a positive image of Social Circle.
  • Attend any required meetings with the core management team.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with external clients as and when required.
  • Work with and assist members of the sales team on a daily basis.
  • Deal with answer telephone calls, sales enquiries and take messages when necessary.
  • Attend a certain number of events (of your choice) each month

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail a must.
  • Enthusiastic and sociable with drive and commitment along with a willingness to progress.
  • Must have a positive regard for all work colleagues, members, non-members and all other contacts necessary to be able to perform the role effectively and efficiently.

  • If successful, you will complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship programme delivered through Social Circle's dedicated training provider, Interserve Learning and Employment
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required
