April Hair Salon are currently looking to recruit an exceptional Stylist, with the strong desire to complete a level 3 qualification and potentially progress to support with the management of the salon. April Hair Salon is a unique salon within the East Lancashire Town of Burnley, Home to premier league club, Burnley FC.
We offer salon services to the multi-cultural community that is Burnley, and its surrounding areas Nelson, Colne, Trawden, Barnoldswick, Rawtenstall, Cliviger, Simonstone, Altham, Darwen, Blackburn and beyond.
April Hair Salon was opened in December 2017 in the historic Burnley Express Newspaper Building in what is a newly observed buzzing atmosphere of Bull Street BB11 1DW.

•Braiding all types, Weaves and related styles
•Unisex hair cutting, finishing and colouring
•Giving trustworthy and honest advice to your clients
•Delivering exceptional service within good time
•Good communication with your team
•Maintaining a smart and well-kept appearance
•Setting an example to less experienced assistants and stylists
•Advising and selling the most appropriate haircare products to clients
•The continuous improvement of your hairdressing skills, and being up-to-date with latest hairdressing fashions.
Must have recognised Hair Qualification. Must have excellent, communication and client care skills with proven passion and flare for hairdressing. Preferred senior stylist with at least 3 years salon experience. Must have colour experience.
•Cutting hair to a high standard, including precision cutting and texturising techniques
•Technical and creative colouring ability
•Effective and thorough client consultations
•Advanced Hairdressing at NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
•The ability to blow dry to a high standard and being able to dress long hair
•Experience working in a busy salon
•Attending team meetings
•From time-to-time attending workshops/courses and Masterclasses
•Adhere to April Hair Salon Health & Safety policy and processes
•Uphold and promote the April Hair Salon Equal Opportunities policy
•To carry out any other duties, not listed here, which you are reasonably requested to do
In summary The ideal candidate must have experience working in a hair salon, be proactive, hardworking, be knowledgeable about trends and latest techniques in the hair industry, eager to constantly learn and progress. Understanding of Afro or combination hair types desirable.
