Estio Training has an exciting new opportunity with a young tech company in Manchester. The business supplies leading-edge solutions to the insurance industry and is pioneering technologies such as real-time vehicle tracking, behavioural monitoring, and real-time underwriting. We are a small, dynamic and agile team where the development and system architecture are driven forward by the team. The software platform is used by a variety of brokers and insurers. We are also integrated with CompareTheMarket, GoCompare and Confused.com and as such our software has high visibility in the public and must perform quickly, reliably and robustly. Due to the popularity of the software used, the company is expanding and is looking to recruit talented apprentice developers. The role will be mainly coding and will involve work on a variety of tasks such as development of new components, enhancing existing functionality, fixing issues across a variety of web-based projects. The employer is a Microsoft Silver Partner as such you will be working on the latest Microsoft web technologies such as ASP .NET 4.5+, C#, LINQ, Entity Framework, AJAX, SQL Server and Microsoft Azure all using Visual Studio 2015. Each developer has two large monitors and a desktop fitted with an ultra-fast SSD for rapid development. There is a breakout room kitted out with Xbox & TV for lunch time gaming and also each employee gets a spin of the Wheel of Fortune on their birthday.

The Estio Training IT Apprenticeship programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt. Learners will receive twelve weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience. Training will lead to industry-recognised qualifications including: Advanced apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles Functional skills, Maths L2, English L2 and ICT L2 PLTS and ERR CompTIA A+ Estio training also offer the following optional units: MCTS on Windows 7 MCTS on MCSA, MS Solutions Associate MCITP on Windows Server 2008 CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+ MCSA Windows Server 2012 If you are aged 16 – 24, have 5 GCSE’s at grades A*- C or equivalent (including English Language and Maths), and would love to work in IT, then you can apply for an Estio Apprenticeship.
