Estio Training has an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Support Advisor Apprentice at this company based in Manchester. This company have been building, hosting and managing software applications for the training and education sectors for a number of years. With an aim to replace paperwork with technology, their dedicated team have been working closely with organisations in the education sector to develop the latest innovations in paperless technology. The company has already been endorsed and accredited by a wide range of awarding bodies, and with their flagship Eportfolio helping organisations achieve Ofsted ‘Outstanding’, their systems have become a reliable part of the UK education and training sector. The business are now in a position to expand their Technical Support department and are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic person to join the business as a Technical Support Apprentice. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and emailElevating complex customer enquiries to the appropriate escalation pointConfiguring our software packages to meet customer requirementsPresenting webinar sessions to target audiencesWriting and maintaining user guides and other training materialsProcessing software change requests

Qualifications required

5 GCSE’s at grades A*- C or equivalent (including English Language and Maths),

Skills required

Ability to learn and adapt in a fast moving environment essentialExcellent communication skillsAbility to understand, interpret and provide a resolution to a problem within an agreed timescale.Computer literacy – ability to learn and use a wide variety of software applications and hardwareWillingness to learn new products and industry specific changesA positive attitude

Training provided

The Estio Training IT Apprenticeship programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt. Learners will receive eight weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience. Training will lead to industry-recognised qualifications including: Advanced apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles Functional skills, Maths L2, English L2 and ICT L2 PLTS and ERR Estio training also offer the following optional units: MCTS on Windows 7 MCTS on MCSA, MS Solutions Associate MCITP on Windows Server 2008 CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+ MCSA Windows Server 2012
