As a commis chef you're on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef. In most kitchens you'll do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a chef de Partie, starting on vegetable section and working up to Sauce, Bread, Fish and butchery and Pastry We encourage our commis chefs with regards to achieving their NVQ level 2 and 3 and working within the Food Preparation and Health and safety guidelines
