We are a local charity supporting people with a learning disability and are looking for a person to join our busy administration/reception team at our Head office in Huddersfield. You will work as part of team on a daily basis.

Programme Duration: 12 Months

The successful candidate will work at our Head Office Lindley but provide admin support to all the services that Mencap in Kirklees deliver.You will learn all the business administration functions from answering the telephone, photocopying, scanning, meeting and greeting visitors to our building, ordering stationery, inputting data onto our electronic systems.
Maths and English GCSE grade C or above or equivalent
Excellent keyboard/typing skills.
Demonstration of an interest in, or experience of, an office-based administrative role.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programmes, especially email and ideally Excel and Word.
You will be working in a small team, so a friendly flexible nature is essential.
You should be able to demonstrate that you are reliable and responsible.
You will be expected to show good attention to detail.
Subject to business needs at the time and performance there is scope for this to become a permanent role.

Care Certificate induction Safeguarding Mental Capacity & DoLS
Health & safety Fire safety
Moving & handling (non hoist)
Learning disability awareness
IT and in-house systems
