Description

Great opportunity for a Level 3 apprentice groom to join a private, family run yard in Reading, Berkshire. The successful candidate will be mature, enthusiastic and with a good sense of humour. Riding will be available for the right person to include hacking out.

General duties will include;

  • Riding for the right person to include hacking out
  • Mucking out
  • Tacking up and cleaning tack
  • Turning out and bringing in
  • Clipping/bathing/plaiting/trimming
  • Field duties
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
  • Rug changing

Experience with horses is preferable
No formal qualifications required
Full training provided through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training

Successful candidate must be;

  • Interested in eventing
  • Confident handling fit eventing horses
  • Hard working and ambitious to succeed within the equine industry
  • Good sense of humour
  • Happy to work outside in all weather
Possibility of a full time position available on completion of Level 3 Horse Care Apprenticeship
Accomodation available and opportunity to take own horse
