Description
As an Apprentice Parts Advisor under supervision you will work towards the following objectives:
Main Purpose of the Job -
To welcome customers to the Parts Department and ensure their vehicles are processed in line with manufacturer standards and comply with correct Company procedures.
To achieve the customer satisfaction objectives and ensure that the customer is dealt with professionally adhering to manufacturer standards and dealership procedures.
To enthusiastically treat customers with courtesy and respect in a professional, well turned out manner.
Duties and Responsibilities -
- Promote trade business
- Support Parts Manager / Supervisor
- Ensure customer parts are ordered and prompt contact is made on arrival of the said parts.
- Create invoices / estimates in line with manufacturer pricing programs and take appropriate monies.
- Improve the quality of customer service, in line with manufacturers CSI programs.
- Handle dissatisfied customers calmly, resolve complaints with sensitivity and involve others when needed.
- Parts stock.
- Record lost sales.

GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at grade D or above desirable but not essential.
Intermediate Apprenticeship in Vehicle Parts This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated an assessor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits.

Full training will be given in this challenging and varied role to ensure that the apprentice has the skills and expertise be considered as a permanent member of staff.
This apprenticeship will involve working weekends and may involve working in the evenings. This is agreed locally on a rota basis. It will be hard work but it is a great environment to work in. It offers opportunities for reward and progression. Please do not contact the retailer directly. You will also receive visits and other training from the Learning Skills Partnership representative. The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. After the first three months of the apprenticeship the pay will be reviewed and depending on performance the wage may rise.
