Description
Data analysts are typically involved with managing, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data. They document and report the results of data analysis activities using a range of analytical tools and techniques - a varied role that will help you build a foundation of knowledge across the wide ranging area of business data - setting you up for a rewarding career.
The pace is fast and the role is varied. There is a lot to learn including the opportunity to learn new and advanced skills but you will be supported every step of the way.
Duties -
- Analysis of sales data and operational information using GSF’s bespoke sales system
- Supporting other users in the business
- Using in house systems such as GSF’s bespoke sales system and Business Objects
- Building reports from new and existing in house systems
- Information management using a variety of tools e.g. MS Excel, MS Access
- Collecting and compiling information from multiple sources
- Data quality checking and cleansing
- Reporting and information presentation
Through this role you will also be able to learn various data analytical skills to enable you to collate, analyse, manage, interpret and disseminate data and information from a wide range of sources.

GCSE Maths and English at grade D or equivalent required for this position
Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration plus Functional Skills and Technical Certificate if appropriate.
This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated an assessor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits.

Once you commence at GSF, further induction training will be supplied by GSF Car Parts. You will also receive visits and other training from the Learning Skills Partnership representative. The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
