Description

The yard has an opportunity for an apprentice to run the yard and travel to all the top competitions. This is a unique chance to join an up and coming rider at his new base just outside Hungerford which is not only state of the art but purpose built for eventers with all mod cons.

General yard duties will include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning in and bringing out
  • Tacking up and tack cleaning
  • Clipping/pulling/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Field duties
  • Exercising horses
  • Rug changing
  • Bandaging
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
  • Riding and hacking out

Experience with horses is essential
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training provided through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training

Possibility of Level 3 Horse Care Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2
