Detailed Job Description

Day to day yard duties, welfare of horses, maintaining a tidy, safe environment on the yard, greeting clients, and livery owners. Exercising, grooming and preparing for lessons. Full training will be provided.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English

Skills required

Some previous experience with horses.

Personal Qualities

Keen, reliable and hardworking. Willing to work outside in all weathers, and calm and confident around horses.

Future prospects

Opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship or a full-time position on completion of the diploma.

Additional Information

Training provided

Full Training given through the Equine Apprenticeship supported through Haddon Training.

No accommodation, it is possible to bring your own horse.
