Description

Ideal non-riding opportunity for a keen apprentice to carry out duties looking after all types of competition horses from mares in foal and young stock all the way through to international show jumpers and elderly retired show jumpers.

Successful apprentice will be expected to learn all aspects of care and handling. Some of the general duties will include;

  • Feeding
  • Mucking out
  • Grooming
  • Keeping yard clean
  • Bandaging
  • Booting up
  • Tacking up
  • Bathing

Experience with horses is essential. Please note that applicants with no experience will not be considered for this position.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
