Fantastic opportunity to join The Bridge Inn as an Apprentice!You would be expected to carry out various duties which will include:Role Highlights• You will be encouraged to share ideas on ways to improve work activities such as reducing costs etc• You will learn how to use kitchen equipment safely, learn how to store food to industry standards etc• Helping out in the unit to support your Team to cover holidays, absence etc• Serve customers, greeting customers and general customer service• Make the most of sales opportunities by ‘upselling’ to customers so that they purchase additional items such as chips with lasagne, cake with coffee etc.• Offer customers guidance and recommendations when they are undecided what to select. Proactive approach to work and able to work on their own initiative as well as in a team. Confident in dealing with members of the public. Experience of taking orders is an advantage but not essential.
No Formal Qualifications required
Intermediate Diploma in Food and Beverage Services
To be successful in this role you will need to be a hard worker with good communication skills and who is able to provide excellent customer service. You will need an outgoing personality and plenty of common sense, be reliable & punctual.
If the Apprenticeship is successfully completed there may be an opportunity for permanent employment within the hotel.
