Description

Someone with some ridden experience is necessary as they will be required to hack out and be able to do some light schooling.

The location is quite rural, so a driver is preferable, but there is a bedsit available should the applicant want to live in.

All general yard duties such as:

  • Mucking out
  • Making feeds
  • Filling hay nets
  • Bringing in/turning out
  • Plaiting, pulling, trimming, clipping
  • Lunging
  • Paddock and yard maintenance
  • Grooming at competitions
  • Riding

Some good knowledge and experience with horses and riding is essential.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Hard working, keen, friendly, good sense of humour, willing to work alone and as part of a team, happy to work outdoors in all types of weather,
Full time position on completion of diploma.
This is a live in position, but there is no space for your own horse.
