Description

The yard’s facilities are hired out to top class riders, so someone that is comfortable with client contact is preferable as the apprentice will need to take payments, and will also have the opportunity to get involved in the business side as well as equine.

This position would ideally suit someone that is 18+, who has done their Level 2 Horse Care, and would like to progress to a Level 3 in Horse Care and Management.

General yard duties such as:

  • Mucking out
  • Grooming
  • Bringing in/turning out
  • Plaiting/clipping/pulling/trimming
  • Hacking out
  • Grooming at competitions
  • Turning out for hunting
  • Filling hay nets
  • Every day horse care

Some previous experience with horses.
No formal qualifications required, but a Level 2 Horse Care would be advantageous.
