Description

The applicant must have previous experience and be competent handling horses, as there are six stallions on the yard and the horses are competition fit, so novices will be taken on for this position.

There will be opportunity to ride based on ability, and also groom at top international events.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that would like to work on a top class yard with great horses and facilities.

All general yard duties such as but not exhaustive of:

  • Mucking out
  • Putting horses on and off the walker
  • Feeding
  • Haying & watering
  • Lunging
  • Hacking
  • Grooming at competitions
  • Clipping, plaiting, bathing, pulling, trimming

Some previous experience with horses is essential. Applicants with no prior experience will not be put forward for this position.
No formal qualifications required.
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Hard working, energetic, friendly, confident handling fit competition horses, punctual, fit, healthy, good sense of humour.
Full time position on completion of diploma.
Accommodation and own space for horse possible.
