RESPONSIBLE FOR:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures, religious backgrounds, and stage of development.
- To comply with any reasonable instruction from the Room Leader.
- Complete weekly key practitioner observation sheets to give input for weekly planning.
- To keep an up to date, relevant e-’learning journey’ on your key children for the nursery and parents.
- To ensure confidentiality of information received.
- To contribute to the high standards of hygiene of the nursery. . Be prepared to help where needed i.e. preparation of snacks/meals etc. . Ensure the safety and protection of children in your care at all times.

Programme Content:
This is an nationally recognised qualification that provides a broad and thorough training programme for all Early Years and Childcare professionals and covers topics, such as:
- Safeguarding the Welfare of Children and Young People – Reviewing legislation and guidelines. How to respond to evidence or concerns that a Child or Young Person has been abused including e safety
- Child and Young Person Development – Understand the main stages of child development 0 - 19 years .
- Introduction to Equality and Inclusion - Understand how to work in an inclusive way
- Health and Safety – Understand policies and procedures and recognising risks and hazards
- Partnership Working – Understand the importance of partnership with carers
- Communication – barriers and strategies to improve communication
- Support Relationships with Children and Young People – Understand how to maintain and support relationships
Sessions are reviewed regularly and updated to meet the requirements of employers and learners in line with sector changes and the focus of legislation and good practice requirements.
What is involved?
To gain the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Children and Young Persons Workforce you will attend a 1 day induction followed by 6 workshop days. If functional skills is required this will be a maximum of 6 additional days. An assessor will work closely with you to coach and assess you in your workplace. Assessment is through a combination of workbooks and assignments, which will involves some self-study
