Person required for friendly successful 30 horse racing stables in the Cotswolds. Excellent accommodation facilities hours wages expenses bonuses insurance. Must be able to ride well. Weight restriction applies Experience preferred but if a confident and strong rider you will be considered. Excellent hours Riding 2 to 3 horses a day. Taking your horses racing. Minimal Mucking out. Great opportunity to join a successful and friendly racing stables in the Cotswolds.

General duties will include;

  • Mucking out
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Riding out
  • Taking horses racing and all associated duties
  • Leading out horses, mares and foals

Must be a competent rider

Experience with horses/racehorses is essential. Please note that applicants with no experience will not be considered for this position.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training provided through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training

Successful candidate will be;

  • A competent rider
  • Familiar with the racing weight restrictions that apply (max. 10 stone for this position)
  • Experienced riding and handling thoroughbreds
  • Confident riding out on gallops
  • Willing to work outside in all weather
Possibility of Level 3 Racehorse Care Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2
Accommodation available. Salary 18-20 £262 pw and 21-24 £330
