Description

Owned by one of the country’s most promising Event riders; she has produced three different horses to CCI4* level, and been recognised by the UK World Class Programme as a rider to support.

We are looking for a confident and hardworking apprentice who ideally has interest and some prior experience in eventing.

General yard duties such as:

  • Mucking out
  • Grooming
  • Tacking up
  • Washing off
  • Hacking
  • Yard and paddock maintenance
  • Clipping/pulling/trimming/ plaiting
  • Laying beds
  • Rug changing
  • General horse care and first aid
  • Bandaging
  • Bringing in/turning out
  • Feeding Haying/watering

Working with horses is strenuous and physical work. You will need to be fit and healthy to apply for this role.

Some previous experience with horses. If you do not have the appropriate experience for this role, we will not be able to put you forward for this position.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English

Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.

Hard working, enthusiastic, friendly, calm and confident around horses, punctual, reliable, happy and willing to work outdoors in all types of weather.

Full time position on completion of diploma.

Live in position, with space to bring your own horse.
