Description

Working as part of an experienced team, training will be provided to enable the Apprentice Customer Service Advisor to work towards becoming a competent member of the team. This 12 month training programme incorporates progression after the first 12 months onto the trainee manager programme with the ultimate goal of achieving a management position. A comprehensive bonus structure linked to performance is part of this trainee position as is a structured payment system which increases at six and twelve months.

Main responsibilities and duties

  • To use GSF systems and identify parts for the customer, quickly and accurately
  • To at all times use Company standards when dealing with customers, e.g. prescribed telephone manner for answering calls
  • GSF “Branch Name” “Employee Name” speaking
  • Answer calls within three rings
  • Ensure all counter displays are up to date and full of stock
  • To promote a good image of the company at all times by maintaining a professional appearance and also to ensure that the customer facing areas of the branch are kept clean and tidy
  • To develop strong working relationships with customers understand their garage needs
  • Ensure once stock has arrived onto the premises it is checked accurately against any supporting advice/delivery note
  • To check off any supplier advice or delivery notes against invoice or statement once received. Any outstanding invoices or credit notes to be chased or highlighted to BM or ABM
  • Dealing with credit notes on a daily basis
  • To pick any Trade invoices which appear on printer to speed up our delivery service & place parts on relevant drivers shelf. Initialling the invoice once picked
  • To keep tidy the warehouse & goods inwards area ensuring the passageways are clear of potential hazards

Intermediate Customer Service Apprenticeship leading on to an advanced level 3.

This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning; this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated an assessor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits.
