Description

An apprentice position has become available at Gav’s Cafe in Houghton Le Spring.You will be working in this café/ takeaway alongside the owner of the business. You will learn the processes of the business, as this is a role to work in both service and the kitchen. Your duties will include:*Cash handling, *Serving over counter, *Cooking and preparing menu items, *General housekeeping, and cleaning*Taking orders and delivering orders to the near by area using the business van. You will support the owner with transport to the cash and carry also. Your earliest start will be 7am and your latest finish will be 4pm.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Qualification, this will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor who will visit you on a regular basis, to deliver the training and coach the Apprentice and will be observing whilst you work. As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Qualification, this will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor who will visit you on a regular basis, to deliver the training and coach the Apprentice and will be observing whilst you work.
Good level of personal hygiene and cleanliness.Be a reliable hard worker, who is prompt, flexible and a good communicator.
You will achieve a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Hospitality Services.There is also the possibility of a permanent position on completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidate.
