The Merchants Tavern are offering a fantastic opportunity to train as an Apprentice Chef!You will be working under our talented head chef, assisting with the day to day running of our busy kitchen and producing modern, British inspired meals to a high standard from the menu. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate.We require someone who is passionate about food to work in our thriving restaurant. Full training and support will be given. You must have a commitment to your own personal development and a genuine desire to work in hospitality.Key Responsibilities of the Role include: •Preparing and cooking meals to a high standard as per company specification •Be trained in all sections of the kitchen•Have a high standard of work practice and hygiene •Comply with hygiene and health and safety standards •Ensure no foodstuff is unnecessarily wasted As an Apprentice you will be included on a Food Production and Cooking Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
