Haxey Gate Inn are offering a fantastic opportunity to train as an Apprentice Chef! We require someone who is passionate about food to work in our thriving pub restaurant. Our food is freshly prepared for our customers for all of our meals and we work to a very high standard and we expect a high standard from all of our team members. Full training and support will be given. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with all members of the team and show self-motivation and professionalism at all times. They must have a commitment to their own personal development and a genuine desire to work in hospitality.Key Responsibilities of the Role include: •Preparing and cooking menu to a high standard as per company specification •Be able to read recipes and be able to prepare & cook the dishes as specified in the recipe •Be able to move around all sections within the kitchen & be trained in all sections •Have a high standard of work practise and hygiene •Comply with hygiene and health and safety standards •Ensure no foodstuff is unnecessarily wasted •Maintain strict portion controlAs an Apprentice you will be included on a Food Production and Cooking Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
