Detailed Job Description

Your duties will include:

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Grooming
  • Feeding
  • Haying/watering
  • Preparing horses for shows
  • Assisting at shows
  • Grooming
  • Clipping/plaiting/pulling/trimming/bathing
  • Paddock and yard maintenance
  • Riding

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English

Skills required

Some previous experience with horses is essential.

Personal Qualities

Keen, hardworking, reliable, calm and confident handling horses, punctual, fit and healthy.

Future prospects

Full time position on completion of diploma.

Additional Information

Training provided

Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.

Not a live in position, but there is the possibility of bringing your own horse.
