Description

We currently have 10 horses in work, ranging from breakers to competing event horses.

The facilities at the yard are fantastic and include indoor and outdoor sand schools, a horse walker, individual turnout and gallops within hacking distance.

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for horses and eventing. Confidence with young and fit event horses is a must, as is the ability to ride out, lunge and do fitness work. We can teach you the rest!

General yard duties such as:

  • Mucking out
  • Riding
  • Bringing in/turning out
  • Grooming
  • Lunging
  • Tack cleaning
  • Feeding
  • Haying/watering
  • Bedding up/down
  • Clipping, plaiting, bathing, trimming, pulling

Some previous experience with horses is essential.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship.
Keen, hardworking, calm and confident handling horses, reliable, punctual, fit and healthy, willing to work outdoors in all types of weather.

Full time position on completion of diploma.
