Description

The Victoria & Albert require an individual, enthusiastic about food, to join them as an Apprentice Chef. The Victoria is a CAMRA award winning 16th Century thatched pub open every day just outside of Salisbury. You will work alongside the Head Chef and Second Chef and provide a Lunch and Dinner service, using fresh local produce. As an Apprentice Chef you duties will include;• Preparing and cooking dishes from the Menu’s on offer;• Maintaining the cleanliness of your work area and the Kitchen;• Storing food correctly and safely;• adhere to company and national Health and Safety policies.You will learn and develop your skills in different cooking techniques such as:• Boiling, poaching and steaming; • stewing and braising; • baking, roasting and grilling; • Deep frying and shallow frying; • Cold food preparation. As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.Award winning Vocational Training Provider.
