Fantastic opportunity to join Victoria House as an Apprentice!Carers strive to be sensitive to the Residents’ ever changing needs. Such needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social. Residents are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised Care Plans in which the involvement of family and friends may be appropriate and is greatly valued.You would be expected to carry out various duties which will include:Role Highlights• Provide attention when needed, whilst ensuring Clients retain their comfort and dignity• Closely monitor Clients who may be confused and / or who have behavioural problems• Helping out in the unit to support your Team to cover holidays, absence etc• Pay particular attention to assisting Clients who have limited mobility, or physical / learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided• Ensure the Care Centre’s resources are used appropriately• Make and change beds, ensuring that rooms are clean and tidy, and commodes are empty, in line with the Care Centre’s disposal of waste policyApprenticeship Highlights• You will learn to give yourself and your Customers a positive impression of the Health Sector• You will learn about Employment rights within this Industry• You will gain a nationally recognised NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care• Your own Vocational Learning Advisor to guide you through the Apprenticeship What are we looking for?
