Description
Apprentice Housekeeper to cover the following duties:• To maintain levels of cleanliness and styling that consistently exceeds the expectations of our guests.• To be responsible for all assigned keys. • To ensure that all lost property is handed to the housekeeper, ensuring it is labelled correctly. • To report any matters of security eg. missing items.• To report any rooms which do not require service.• To take ownership of productivity while on shift, taking responsibility for extra duties eg spring cleaning, replacing equipment such as pillows, quilts etc.• To follow departmental linen procedures at all times. • To report any shortage of supplies to the Head housekeeper.• To ensure mini-bar procedures are followed and sales passed to reception for charging.• To be responsible for the preparation and tidiness of own trolley and the general cleanliness of maid service on the floor eg. clearing linen trolleys and room service trays.• To be responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment eg vacuum cleaners.• To ensure that any damaged linen is reported to the housekeeper and not put on beds.• To report any maintenance faults or malfunctioning equipment to the Head Housekeeper immediately.• To report to the Head Housekeeper/Supervisor when completing all allocated duties, ensuring daily work schedules signed before departing from shift.As an apprentice you will be included on a Housekeeping Qualification, this will involve a Vocational Coach visiting you on a monthly
