Description

With expert guidance and tuition from our Head Chef at The Bell Inn, you will be involved in all aspects of kitchen duties in line with Health and Safety which include:• Assist the senior chef in preparing meals which are all made on the premises with local sourced produce• Work as part of the kitchen team under the direction of the head chef to support the demands of the kitchen• Work in a clean and tidy manner• Undertake training as required• Maintain a positive and pro-active attitude at all times• Actively seek to improve skills and achieve personal development• Comply with all health and safety regulations.• Perform other duties as assigned by management• Seek to ensure at all times that all visitors or guests on our sites have the best experience possible• Cleaning duties during and after service to ensure excellent standards of hygiene are delivered consistently within our kitchen• Assisting in other departments as and when required.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Food Production and Cooking Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Must be:• On time and reliable• Wanting to develop a career within Catering or Hospitality• Hungry to learn and develop new skills• Willing to work a variety of shifts• Able to follow instructions• Able to work under pressure
Maths and English GCSE’s A*-C desirable.
Aside from the practical experience gained, you will also work towards a nationally recognised qualification. This is a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Food production and Cooking
A team player with a can do attitude, strong communication skills and good work ethic.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn, develop or build upon current skills within a career in Hospitality. There is potential for the position to become permanent after the apprenticeship for the right candidate!
